We Too Have Wings reflects on displacement, repeated departure and the search for home after loss. Rooted in memories of the artist’s grandmother’s house outside Khartoum, where pigeons once took flight and returned, the project moves between personal history and present uncertainty to ask what home becomes after rupture. Made in Doha after witnessing both revolution and war in Sudan, the work considers whether home is a place we return to, a memory we carry or something we learn to rebuild through movement, instability and survival.
